The first thing you can do to get better sound from your camera is to buy an external microphone. But
unfortunately not all cameras have the ability to add an external
microphone so this may not be the best solution for you depends on the
device you have. If
your camera does have the option to add an external microphone though
you can easily buy a microphone that will greatly improve your sound
quality at a very reasonable price. The
average external microphone will only cost you around and there are
some portable options around as well so you will not have a lot of extra
equipment to carry around.
One easy thing you can do is eliminate background noise while you record. Pocket
camcorders are generally doing a very good job blocking background
noise, which means that if you do not pay attention to the background
noise you could end up with a lot you do not expect or plan.
When
you are in the room you can eliminate background noise by closing the
window shut fan powering down the nearest electronics etc. .. Even if the smallest of background noise can still make a big difference in the final output of your video.
If you use your pocket camcorder outdoors then you have a whole other set of complications to deal with. Wind can be a problem particularly great voice. You can try to record in a protected location or build your own wind shield while you if you're in a pinch. It
is a place that has an external microphone is actually very useful
because you can add wind shield there to reduce the noise of the wind
some even come with an external mic is in the package.
Another good tip for better sound output is to get up close and personal to the source. The closer you are the greater your chances of taking the sound you want is not the sound you do not want. If
you depend on your camera's internal microphone they tend to be a bit
weak and not good at taking subtle piece of sound so close to the source
will ensure you get the clearest audio possible in any situation.
Extra if you want to upload your videos to the web and they have affected the music you play copyright issues. You
can not upload videos to YouTube when a copyrighted song played even if
the song happens to be in the background and is not part of the focus
of the video. So that's something to keep in mind.
